Some Links

I’m diverting from my normal post to share a few links with you. Much of my time lately has been going into working with a couple of websites. Some of this is paid work, some not. But, it has all been an amazingly wonderful journey for me thus far. I love it! There are some great resources available, and I just get giddy when I get to share them!

For the Family:

Clicking the image below takes you to Home Educating Family’s primary site.

From here you can explore:

  • The magazine and planners, available in print and digital format. Although both are created for a target audience of homeschoolers, there is so much for non-homeschooling families as well. The magazine truly deals with general issues for the Christian family. And, as I flip through my new On the Go planner, I realize that homeschool will probably never touch it! I’m so excited about all of the planning space it has!
  • Homeschool Block: If you have questions about homeschooling, chances are you’ll find the answers here! There still are some gaps, but our goal is to make sure to fill in those gaps as we become aware of them. So, if a question you have is not answered there, let me know.
  • Media, reviews, and blog: This is where I work – well, in reviews and the blog. And I can tell you that these are not just for homeschoolers. We deal with books, products, and topics for the Christian family.

For Ministers’ Wives:

I think I’ve shared this link before, but I wanted to share it again. This is our new ministers’ wives blog, open to wives from all ministerial positions.

common bond

We love guest posts! If you have something you’d love to share with fellow ministers’ wives, please let me know! We have everything from devotional thoughts to funny stories to top ten posts. Most of all, though, we hunger to build community. So join us and share your thoughts in the comments.

Oh, and we have a Facebook page and would love to grow that community as well. Please “like” us and invite ministry wife friends. Here’s the link: A Common Bond Facebook page

For Prayer

Oh how we love this precious family. Clicking on their picture will take you to their blog.

The Choate Family

If you haven’t already “met” the Choates, will you do so now? They always need prayer, but right now is a pretty intense time for them. Joanna and the oldest three children (Sarah, Benjamin, and Olivia) left today for a two-week choir tour. Aaron and Katherine remained behind to finish packing for their farewell journey through multiple states and their travels back to the Solomon Islands. They will have no real “home” between now and early August when they fly out. Please pray for them as they spend many hours in transit, say heart-breaking goodbyes, and keep up a tiring schedule. Pray also for every financial need to be met. Their blog might not see a lot of updating between now and when they return to the mission field, but much will be happening in their family!
